Introducing a New Project: Vasil Siomukha Works Archive

We are pleased to present a new web project dedicated to the creative legacy of the outstanding Belarusian translator Vasil Siomucha (1936-2019).

Vasil Siomucha is one of the greatest translators in the history of Belarusian literature. He translated the Bible, works by Goethe, Nietzsche, Hermann Hesse, Thomas Mann, Patrick Süskind, and many other classics of world literature into Belarusian. His translations are distinguished by unsurpassed mastery and deep understanding of both the original texts and the richness of the Belarusian language.

On our website you will find the collection of Vasil Siomucha's translations in electronic format, the author's biography, photo gallery, and publications. All books are available for free noncommercial download.

We hope that this project will help preserve and popularize the invaluable cultural heritage of Vasil Siomucha for future generations.
