Bible. Song of Solomon

Dear readers, I offer for your attention “The Song of Songs of Solomon,” one of the books of the Bible. This is a book about Love. If you are Jewish—read it, for it speaks of God’s love for the chosen Jewish people and of the people’s love for their God. If you are a Christian—read it, for it is a book about the spiritual union of Christ with His heavenly bride, the Church; of the Holy Spirit with the Virgin Mary; of the human soul with God-Love. If you are an atheist, or—God forbid—an “Orthodox atheist,” read it as well, for it is a collection of ancient Hebrew love lyrics about the earthly love of a man and a woman. Let everyone find something of their own in it! And may each reader feel warmth in the heart.
