The compositional legacy of Konstantin Gorsky includes numerous violin miniatures (polonaises, mazurkas, and character pieces), 36 études for violin, cadenzas for Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, two Masses for soloists, choir, and orchestra, an Organ Fantasy, the symphonic poems “On Olympus” and “The Enchanted Ring,” and more than 100 romances (art songs).
Gorsky is also the author of two operas: For Bread (based on a novella by Henryk Sienkiewicz) and Marger, with a libretto by V. Walger (based on “The Prophetic Dream” by W. Syrokomla).
