The Story "The Genius of One Night" is the title of a chapter (or "miniature") within the book Sternstunden der Menschheit, also known in English as "The Tide of Fortune" or "Decisive Moments in History" by the Austrian author Stefan Zweig (1881 – 1942). This chapter is a short, dramatic account of the night when the French national anthem, "The Marseillaise," was created.
