Gombrowicz, Witold - Ferdydurke

Ferdydurke is a satirical novel by Polish writer Witold Gombrowicz (1904–1969), published in 1937. It tells the story of a 30-year-old man who is absurdly forced back into school and treated like a child, exposing themes of immaturity, identity, and social pressure. Through a series of strange and humorous situations, the novel mocks cultural norms, intellectual pretensions, and ideas of adulthood, and remains an influential work of 20th-century European literature.
